KS Wheel
- the wheel feels very high quality
- i didn't like the thumb dials at first, they are kinda sharp, and feel/sound different on each side/ But I got used to them and they're fine now
- i like the buttons, and the center dials feel very tactile
- the shifters are too quite, they have no click. just the sound of the paddle hitting the end. i tried the ES before and i liked its way clicky-er shifters.
- the rubber material is like a “good for sweating” kind of rubber
- the "carbon fiber reinforced plastic" feels very nice
- overall quite comfortable, need to reach a little for most buttons, but far less than ES wheel
- smells like new tire!!!
- wheel rattles while racing, at high speed, and during braking.
- tbh i initially half wished i had spent the extra $160 for the GS. It would have had nicer leather grips, more metal parts, and clicky shifters, but this KS is not bad by any means, so I didn't bother returning it and spending more.
- i am glad however i spent the extra money over the ES. but honestly the leather ES feels nicer, and you can drift since its round, so not a bad option either.
- overall this wheel is great. when you're racing, it just fades into the background and lets you do your thing, which is really all you can ask out of any tool.
R9
strong asf
-gives room to not run force feedback at 100%
- - this is good because you can feel some things you couldn't feel with the R5 like extra wheel forces mid-corner.
-you can still overcome the steering angle limit, but it’s decently heavy
- very smooth
- power supply light is bright af
- i do have the occasional connection issue, but its hard to replicate and honestly might be something with my PC so I'm not sure.
- overall, I don't have as much to say about the R9 since I haven't tried any other brand wheelbases to compare, but it also just fades into the background and lets you do your thing. the force feedback is great, you can feel what the car is doing in game, and the software is pretty adjustable
- I also included a picture of the ports on the back since the website doesn't have this info for some reason
